A Holistic Approach

Hi, I’m Julia! I’ve always been a curious mover by nature- whether that is in the form of travel or treks around the world, in nature, in dance form, in the gym, or on a yoga mat.

This passion for movement has brought me into many spaces of practice over my life so far, including yoga, somatics, and mobility, as well as ballet, calisthenics, rock climbing, backpacking, hiking, biking, running, weight lifting, dancing… the list continues.

And when I’m not moving, I’m moving inward through stillness- exploring the subtle nuance of body, breath, and being; deepening awareness meditation, contemplation, and creative research.

I am so inspired by the body and by the experience of being a body.

This passion has turned into a career, and through this work, I have had the privilege of working with some incredible people from first-time yoga students, busy parents balancing family, work, and health, people recovering from injury, dedicated athletes, corporate visionaries, artists and dancers, kids and teens, and people just like you. The people I have worked with range in experience, physical ability, goals, and life stages, and they inspire me every day.

Drawing on my expertise in how body-mind-breath interactions influence movement, I craft movement or meditative experiences to provide a vibrant space for people to explore embodiment, deepen their self-understanding, and enhance their practice.

I am honored to have taught over a thousand classes, worked with some highly esteemed institutions and organizations, including ArtsMIA, CAPIUSA, Mpls Public Schools, Partnerships for Permanence, ToysRUS, Homespun Events, and more. I’ve worked with people one-on-one, offering personalized programs, trained and mentored other yoga teachers, and have been a part of hosting retreats.
